Jordy Dik genomineerd voor Innovatieprijs Nederlandse Dansdagen 2025

Met trots delen wij dat onze artistiek leider, Jordy Dik, is genomineerd voor de Innovatieprijs van de Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht 2025. Deze prestigieuze prijs erkent makers die zich inzetten voor het toegankelijk maken van dans voor mensen met een verstandelijke of lichamelijke beperking of psychische kwetsbaarheid.
De jury, bestaande uit dans- en cultuurprofessionals, selecteerde drie genomineerden uit vele inzendingen: Jordy Dik, Sharon Wesseling en Marc Vlemmix.
Jordy’s werk kenmerkt zich door een rauwe, poëtische en meeslepende benadering, waarin dans fungeert als een expressie van het diepgewortelde verlangen naar verbinding en een viering van ons mens-zijn.
De winnaar van de Innovatieprijs ontvangt een geldbedrag van €25.000,-, bedoeld voor het creëren van een nieuw werk dat in première gaat tijdens de Nederlandse Dansdagen 2026.
De prijsuitreiking vindt plaats op vrijdag 3 oktober 2025 tijdens het Nederlandse Dansdagen Gala in Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht.

Jordy Dik Nominated for Innovation Prize at Dutch Dance Days 2025
We are proud to announce that our artistic director, Jordy Dik, has been nominated for the prestigious Innovation Prize at the Dutch Dance Days (Nederlandse Dansdagen) in Maastricht 2025.
This award recognizes choreographers and makers who are committed to making dance accessible to people with intellectual or physical disabilities, or psychological vulnerabilities.
The jury, composed of dance and cultural professionals, selected three nominees from numerous submissions: Jordy Dik, Sharon Wesseling, and Marc Vlemmix.
Jordy’s work is characterized by a raw, poetic, and captivating approach, using dance as a profound expression of the human desire for connection and as a celebration of our shared humanity.
The winner of the Innovation Prize will receive €25,000 to create a new work that will premiere at the Dutch Dance Days in 2026.
The award ceremony will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, during the Dutch Dance Days Gala at Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht.
