Jordy Dik (he/him), choreographer, and community artist, takes on the role of director in his short film A Bird Named Mansour, funded through the Fast Forward program with the support of the Dutch Performing Arts Fund. With this opportunity, Jordy not only conceptualized and choreographed but also personally filmed and edited the entire piece, creating a deep learning experience in filmmaking.
This film documents his collaboration with Compagnie Tiuri and Shechter II dancers, highlighting his commitment to developing an internationally recognized, inclusive dance field. For Jordy, A Bird Named Mansour represents both a creative milestone and a step toward building a meaningful future in community arts and inclusive dance across borders.
